Garage Doors

Garage Door Types

Many factors determine what type of garage door you opt for, including the size of the garage, the location, and cost, among others. Here a some of the different types of garage doors available in the market:

Roller Doorsroll up when the door is opened due to the many panels that make up the doors. Each panel is connected to the other by a flexible connector.

The advantage of roller doors is that they do not consume a lot of space in the garage as it rolls up into a small chamber right above the garage.

Single panel doors open as a single piece as opposed to many sections/panels. The door lifts at a certain angle and then slides at the top of the garage (as a single piece).

The key benefit of choosing this type of door is that it is easy to open and close. Single panel doors can be opened automatically.

Like roller doors, sectional doors are made up of panels, but instead of a flexible connector, they are held together with a hinge. Instead of rolling up a sectional door, fold up with the help of the hinges and rest in rails on the garage ceiling.
