Doors

Why I regret choosing a vibrant front door

When I started up my small restaurant, I thought the brighter the better; after all I’m trying to catch people’s attention aren’t I? After several weeks went by, business soon started to slow down quite a bit, and this was worrying. I’m sure it had something to do with the colour. It didn’t match the interior of my shop; after all it was yellow, whilst my shop was mainly blue inside. My building definitely stood out from the rest, but maybe for the wrong reasons. I think some people expected a whirlpool of colours when they came inside and we just didn’t deliver with our deep blue shade. So, instead of going colour-mad inside, we changed the colour of the door to blue, and it’s played a part in bringing business back. What I’ve learnt from this to never doubt the importance of the right coloured door, and of course, to never judge a shop by its front door colour.
